It includes film music by former SUISA member Michel Legrand, who passed away in early 2019, for Orson Welles’ “The Other Side of the Wind”, and the soundtrack to the film “Zwingli” by director Stefan Haupt, written by the siblings Nora, Diego and Lionel Baldenweg.

The World Soundtrack Awards were founded in 2001 by the Film Fest Gent and have been presented on an annual basis ever since. The winner of the Public Choice Award is chosen by public vote; anyone can cast their vote online via the World Soundtrack Awards website. Voting for this year’s Public Choice Award runs from 1 July until 4 September 2019. Previous winners of the Public Choice Award include Howard Shore, John Williams, Carter Burwell and Vangelis. The next World Soundtrack Awards ceremony will take place in Ghent on 18 October 2019.
