Distribution Rules: Decision of the Federal Institute for Intellectual Property

The Federal Institute for Intellectual Property has approved the following amendments of SUISA's Distribution Rules:

  • «CT 7 Uses in school / Revision of Articles 5.1, 5.2 and 5.5 DR» - The merging of former Common Tariff 7 (Uses in schools) with parts of CT 8 (Reprography) and 9 (Private use of protected works and services in electronic form via internal digital networks) into the new CT 7 (Uses in schools) was transposed into the wording of the corresponding articles of the Distribution Rules.
  • «Commercials on private radio (DC 2E) / Revision of Articles and 5.4 DR» - The rules for the distribution of revenues from commercials on private radio stations have been changed. Henceforth, 15% of the revenues will be allocated to each of distribution categories 1A (SRG radio broadcasts) and 2A (private radio broadcasts), and 70% will be allocated to DC 1E (SRG TV commercials). Distribution category 2E is cancelled.
