Concerts of music societies

If a promoter hires you to perform, the promoter will be responsible for obtaining the licence. You only have to obtain the licence if your society organises its own concerts. As a music society, you have the benefit of simplified and inexpensive licencing fees for your concerts. If the admission fee for your concert is equal to or less than CHF 45.–, the licence fee will be based on Tariff B.

Depending on the type of music society (brass band, choir, etc.), you will pay between CHF 32.– and CHF 46.25 per year for every 5 members. If more than half your members are under 19 years of age, the licence will only cost half that amount.
If you charge an admission fee of more than CHF 45.–, please consult the fact sheet on Common Tariff K.

Preferential rates for contract customers

If you conclude a contract with us for all your events, you need only declare your membership headcount and the works performed once a year.

How to proceed

Send us the duly completed questionnaire together with your list of works. We will then issue the licence and invoice. Once your payment is received, we shall distribute the revenues to the beneficiary composers, lyricists and publishers.
