Common Tariff 4

The storage capacity is the recording time. This is calculated to the minute. The reference base is the recording time indicated on the recording media provided it is not over-stepped by more than 5 minutes (in which case the actual recording time applies).

After import/delivery

Manufacturers and importers are required to provide SUISA all requisite invoicing information including, in particular, the following indications broken down per category or format of recording media subject to remuneration:

  • the number of produced or imported blank carriers with the relevant storage capacity;
  • the number of exported carriers, and the relevant storage capacity, together with a copy of the relevant customs documents;
  • the number of blank carriers which can be demonstrated to have been licensed by the producer or importer or by another party for purposes other than private copying, with the relevant storage capacity, together with copies of the delivery vouchers and other supporting documents.

Unless otherwise agreed, such data and documents must be communicated on a monthly basis, no later than 20 days after the end of each month.

Invoicing procedure

After receiving the declaration form, SUISA prepares the invoice based on the blank carrier movements subject to remuneration in the declaration period.
