Privacy Policy Statement

This statement applies solely to the content and functions at the www.suisa.ch website.  Personal data collected on this website is handled in accordance with the Federal Law on Data Protection (Bundesgesetz über den Datenschutz – DSG). For SUISA members and associate members, personal data is handled in accordance with points 5.4 (authors) and 5.6 (publishers) of the rights administration agreement, which takes precedence over the present statement.

Personal data will be processed only if it was supplied by the individual himself (e.g. questionnaires, orders etc.) and will be used solely for specified purposes or for purposes that are clearly evident from the context.  Data will not be communicated or made available to third parties unless there is a legal obligation to do so (court order, official criminal prosecution, etc.). SUISA takes appropriate technical and organisational steps to ensure that personal data is protected against unauthorised processing.

The access data which are saved in a log file for system security reasons and anonymous statistical evaluation when the website is accessed could identify the user. This data includes: IP address, date and time of access, name of the file called up, access status, pages selected, volume of data moved, page from which the site was accessed, top level domain, user's web browser, user's operating system. SUISA protects log file data against unauthorised access and does not disclose it to third parties. Data will not be evaluated in a person-specific manner.

We draw your attention to the fact that the transmission of data on internet, e.g. via email, is not secure. Transmitted data may be read or modified by unauthorised third parties. Therefore, we recommend that you avoid sending us confidential information via internet.
Apart from a cookie for the choice of language and JavaScript, no active elements are used on SUISA’s website.  External links are clearly labelled as such.
